Ottumwa mail carrier Jeff LaRose was one of the many United States Postal Service workers that had to brave the cold and deliver mail on Monday. Temperatures were in the negatives most of the day but weren't low enough to keep mailpersons at home. According to LaRose, the hardest part about delivering mail when the high is in the negatives is keeping his hands warm since he can't simply wear multiple layers of gloves because he has to handle each piece of mail.
