POLISHVILLE — The Polishville schedule of events for April is as follows:
April 14: Dance with Goodman/Anders of North English/Newhall. Food on sale at 4:30 p.m.; dancing from 6-9 p.m.
April 15: Bingo. Lunch will be at 4:30 p.m. and Bingo at 5:45 p.m.
April 21: Dance with Ned Francis of Mt. Sterling. Food on sale at 4:30 p.m.; dancing from 6-9 p.m.
April 22: Bingo. Lunch will be at 4:30 p.m. and Bingo at 5:45 p.m.

New cookbook available
OTTUMWA — Southeast Iowa Susan G. Komen Affiliate is announcing the arrival of its new, one-of-a-kind cookbook, “Fighting for a Cure.”
Members of Southeast Iowa Susan G. Komen Affiliate, friends and family have compiled their tastiest, tried-and-true recipes into a single book. This cookbook contains 161 recipes from appetizers to desserts.
Special features include a cooking time table, measurement substitutions, equivalency chart and counting calories.
Cookbooks will be available at the Survivors Luncheon on April 13.

Heartland Humane hosts spaghetti meal
OTTUMWA — Heartland Humane Society’s annual spaghetti dinner will be held from 5-7 p.m. April 12 at the First Presbyterian Church, Fourth and Marion
Dinner will include homemade spaghetti sauce, salad, bread, dessert and beverages.
Tickets are $8 for adults and $4 for children age 5 and younger and may be obtained at the door, the Humane Society shelter or from any board members.
Carry-out is available.
