Raid results in two arrests

OTTUMWA — Two Ottumwa men are in custody following a Tuesday search at a residence.

Phillip Wayne Cave Sr., 60, faces charges of possession with intent to distribute marijuana and failure to affix a drug tax stamp. Both are Class D felonies and carry up to five years in prison upon conviction.

Phillip Anthony Cave Jr., 30, faces the same charges and was arrested on an outstanding warrant for parole violation

Tuesday's search was carried out at 539 Ottumwa Street.Authorities say the search resulted in seizure of items consistent with distribution of controlled substances.

The Ottumwa Police Department carried out the search along with the Oskaloosa Police Department, Southeast Iowa Inter-Agency Drug Task Force and the Iowa Department of Public Safety's Division of Narcotics Enforcement.
