ALBIA — The Monroe County Hospital & Clinics announces that Jennifer Archer, ARNP, was chosen to receive the Iowa Hospital Heroes Award 2013.
To honor the contribution of the state's health care professionals to their community, the Iowa Hospital Association has developed a program to recognize these dedicated men and women: The IHA Iowa Hospital Heroes Award.
Archer was nominated by her co-workers and patients for their personal stories of her dedication as a caregiver who goes above and beyond the call of duty. One patient said, “Jennifer is the most caring, compassionate and respectful caregiver I have ever had the privilege to work with and receive care from. I often wonder what I would have done if I had lost my son that night and cannot imagine the heartbreak. But because of the quick action of Jennifer, I am able to hold my son again. I am thankful for Jennifer every day when I look at my son who is here because of her.”
Chief People Officer Dee Dee Chance presented the award to Jennifer at an awards ceremony in conjunction with the Iowa Hospital Association’s Annual Meeting in Des Moines on Thursday.
