---- — Storbakken joins BV; two promoted
OTTUMWA — Bridge View Center has announced that Roseanna Storbakken has joined Bridge View as its box office and events coordinator.
Storbakken will be responsible for coordinating event information, event functions and supervise patron services. She will work directly with clients on their event details and will also manage all ticket office sales for the BV box office.
Storbakken comes to Bridge View Center with experience in event planning from her experience with Clay County Regional Events Center in Spencer. She also has experience working with Storm Lake United and the Cedar Rapids Convention and Visitors Bureau.
“I am thrilled to be part of the Bridge View Center team. This is an amazing opportunity that will allow me to start off my career right. I look forward to continuing the tradition of providing lasting memories to Bridge View Center’s current and future customers,” she said.
Meanwhile, Bridge View and VenuWorks of Ottumwa have announced that Pat Ahlers and Ernie Vega have been promoted in the food and beverage department. Ahlers, director of finance since April of 2012, has added director of food and beverage to her duties. Vega, who has been on the culinary staff of Bridge View for four years, has been promoted to sous chef and will also serve as interim chef.
“Sometimes you don’t have to look any farther than your own backyard to find the best fits for your staffing and management criteria,” said Larry Gawronski, executive director for Bridge View. “Ernie has been a mainstay at Bridge View Center and is ready to make the commitment to leading the culinary staff and needs here. With Pat, she has taken on several responsibilities since she started at Bridge View in 2012. It’s a learning curve for both team members but a challenge that they are both up for. The end result will be better delivery of service and the highest level of cuisine that is priced right for our marketplace.”
