Off the Wall Trading Post has a lot to offer

Courier Staff Writer

HEDRICK — Looking for that odd piece of hardware? What about a good paperback novel or a DVD? Maybe even a John Deere collectible toy?

You may be able to find all those at the Off The Wall Trading Post.

Rob Romine has opened the new store in downtown Hedrick, across the street from City Hall.

Romine, a veteran eBay seller and  buyer, said he loves trading and/or finding a great deal and he’s hopeful that customers will find something they might want or need in his store.

“We’re unique ... lots of different things,” he said. “I’ll sell just about anything.”

And that’s true. You’ll find hand tools next to knick knacks, books and collectible toys by the DVDs or a collection of nuts and bolts.

“I grew up around flea marketers,” Romine said, adding Hedrick residents have been very welcoming to the new store.

So far, patrons that have visited the store have heard about Romine’s new business by word of mouth.

And he has partnered with a few folks on consigning their items.

“Hopefully we’ll have some of those ‘hard-to-find’ items people are looking for,” Romine said.
