OTTUMWA — The Iowa Finance Authority recently recognized Community 1st Credit Union and 26 other lenders for their efforts in advancing affordable home ownership through Iowa Finance Authority's programs in 2012.
"I want to commend the effort of our hard-working local lender partners, and their success in making the dream of home ownership a reality for more than 1,200 Iowa families last year through Iowa Finance Authority programming," said Iowa Finance Authority Executive Director Dave Jamison.
Community 1st Credit Union Director of Mortgage Laura Kay Sheely accepted the " Leading Lender" honor for the Ottumwa-based credit union that will open its 16th branch next month in Indianola.
"We are very proud to be recognized with the top mortgage lenders in the state," said Sheely. "We work hard at giving our members the best service possible and making home ownership a positive experience."
