Two Fairfield restaurants receive Blue Zones certification

FAIRFIELD — Blue Zones Project Fairfield has announced that Revelations and Yummy’s have achieved Blue Zones Worksite Community Certification, joining The Gardens Seasonal Kitchen, the first Fairfield restaurant to achieve certification.

Revelations and Yummy’s fulfilled Blue Zones Restaurant designation criteria such as offering healthy dishes on a regular basis that meet the Blue Zones designation criteria, offering half-size portions of top-selling entrees and making healthy sides the default options.

On Friday, representatives from the Fairfield Blue Zones Project team will present Yummy’s and Revelations with their official certifications for a photo opportunity at each restaurant, at 9:30 a.m. and 10 a.m. respectively.

“The Blue Zones Project team is proud to have two more restaurants become certified so quickly,” said Mayor Ed Malloy. “By completing the certification process, the Revelations and Yummy’s have demonstrated community leadership and its commitment to making Fairfield a healthier place by supporting healthy eating habits.”
