Centerville back to a full city council

CENTERVILLE — The Centerville City Council Monday at City Hall by a 4-0 vote appointed Jennings Dillard to fill the empty at-large council seat formerly held by Randy Marcussen before he resigned earlier this year.

Dillard was administered the oath of office by the mayor and immediately assumed the council seat and participated in his first meeting.

Dillard located to Centerville in October 2010 and is the facility manager for Hydra Pools.

Dillard will fill the seat until the next regular city election, which is Nov. 5.

The other three candidates in the running were Ron Creagan, Jay Rogers and Cindy Donovan-Steahr.

Centerville Mayor Jim Senior praised the candidates and encouraged the other three to consider running for office in the future.
