CINCINNATI — Cincinnati Mayor Dave Rummans presided over his last City Council meeting Monday, June 9. Rummans had previously announced his resignation as mayor effective June 30.
During the meeting Rummans expressed his appreciation to Cincinnati residents for the opportunity to serve as the community’s mayor.
Rummans in his last meeting as the mayor of Cincinnati introduced new council members Jeff Lenik and Rebecca Clark. Lenik and Clark fill Joe Sivetts’ and Robert Conger’s council seats after they resigned effective May 13.
Rummans also introduced Gail Finks as new city clerk and Robert Perry Jr. as new operations manager. In a related matter, the council set Finks’ wages at $375 per week at a minimum of 20 hours per week with additional hours as needed and Perry Jr.’s wages at $9 per hour with the opportunity for a $1 per hour wage increase once he earns certification within one year.
