Saturday, Oct. 26

Moravia Haunted House fundraiser will be held at Moravia High School from 7-11 p.m. by the MHS sophomore class. Cost is $5 per person. A youth guided tour will be held from 5-6 p.m. First graders and younger get in free with a paid adult admission.


Thursday, Oct. 31

Beggars night from 6-8 p.m.

Ministries will host the 9th Annual Pumpkin Barn and Trunk-or-Treat at Moravia Lighthouse Church of the Nazarene, 405 Myra Lane, from 6-8 p.m. rain or shine. A gym filled with carnival games, black light game room, inflatables, archery and a no charge concession stand will entertain. Everyone is welcome and all activities are free. The event focuses on a celebration of the harvest. Everyone is encouraged to come in costume. Come and join us for a “Merry not Scary” evening for children of all ages. Saturday, Oct. 26

Halloween Hike will be held at Sharon Bluffs State Park from 7-10 p.m. Hikes depart each hour from 7-9 p.m. at the shelter house. Learn about Iowa’s silent huntsmen, creepy creatures and hear spooky stories. There will also be games, movies, refreshments and prizes awarded for best costume and carved pumpkins throughout the evening.


Friday, Oct. 25

Pumpkin carving contest from 6-7 p.m. in the basement of the Activities Building. Pumpkins will be displayed overnight in the lodge lobby. Winner will be determined by penny vote.


Saturday, Oct. 26

Costume parade and announcement of pumpkin carving winner at 4 p.m.

Trick-or-treat scavenger hunt from 4-5 p.m. Solve riddles around the lodge to locate candy.

Hay rides leave every half hour from 5-6:30 p.m. Space is limited so sign up from 1-6 p.m. in lodge lobby.
