Six charged in drug raid

Knoxville — Officers with the Mid-Iowa Narcotics Enforcement Task Force found drugs and paraphernalia at a house in rural Knoxville yesterday following the execution of a search warrant.

Six people were arrested after the search of 1131 McKimber St.:

• Garth Colon, 25, Knoxville, is charged with possession with intent to deliver marijuana, failure to affix a drug tax stamp, two counts of possession of a prescription drug without a prescription, possession of drug paraphernalia, and maintaining a drug house.

• David Harrison, 44, Knoxville was charged with possession with intent to deliver marijuana, failure to affix a drug tax stamp, two counts possession of prescription drug without a prescription, possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, and maintaining a drug house.

• Migdalia Harrison, 51, Knoxville was charged with possession with intent to deliver marijuana, failure to affix a drug tax stamp, two counts possession of prescription drug without a prescription, possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, and maintaining a drug house.

• Benjamin Wright, 23, Knoxville was charged with five counts of possession of prescription drug without a prescription, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and maintaining a drug house.

• Brandon Galvin, 21, Knoxville charged with possession of marijuana.

• Crystal Sanderson, 45, Knoxville was charged with possession of marijuana.

• Marton Wright, 32, Knoxville was charged and released for possession of drug paraphernalia.

Canine teams from the Knoxville Police Department and the Jasper County Sheriff's Office both participated in the search.

Possession of marijuana with intent to deliver is a Class D felony, as is failure to affix a drug tax stamp. Possession of marijuana and possession of methamphetamine are both serious misdemeanors. Possession of prescription drugs without a prescription and maintaining a drug house are both aggravated misdemeanors. Possession of drug paraphernalia is a simple misdemeanor.
