Ottumwa Couriers on the move again

Hope you all had a good April Fool’s Day.

That’s what I thought Easter Sunday was, waking up and seeing the snow coming down. Easter was just way too early.

But then, Apryl told me Friday she’d seen a black butterfly with blue spots. So , that sounds good for spring.

Several area folks had good ideas and went south to escape the last dredges of winter.

Mary Mitterer of Hedrick and Doris O’Brien of Albia reported that they had a wonderful vacation to Europe.

They visited Italy, seeing the Vatican and chapel and traveled by coach through Italy, stopping to check out the Leaning Tower of Pisa. The bus then took them into Switzerland and on to France. They stayed in Paris and shopped, but the women reported that they “bought very little.”

They made a fast trip to London by underground train, I assume through the Chunnel or Eurotunnel that goes under the English Channel.

Both report that “it was a great trip.”

Sure sounds like it.
