ETCETERA: Golden group travels down south, way south

Twenty-eight members of Community 1st Credit Union’s Golden Opportunity travel club recently vacationed in Australia and New Zealand. Shown visiting a sheep farm in New Zealand (in no particular order) are Judy and Hank Suechting, Mildred Willhoit, Marsena Reed, Ralph Young, Stuart and Marti Morrow, Loren Hagedon, Wanda Downing and Myra Painter, all of Ottumwa; Rex and Joyce Foster, Mary Handy, Mary Jo Johnson and Willa Harter, all of Bloomfield; Pauline Arballo, Clyde and Nancy Doty, all of Oskaloosa; Nancy Hull of Ft. Madison; Ed and Helen Hannan of Blakesburg; Karen Wetzstein of Lakeview; Ron and Mary Spurgeon of Knoxville; and Darlene Ames of West Des Moines.
Out of state travelers joining Iowa relatives were Irene Floreth of Longmont, Colo., and Tammy Westfall of Kamiah, Idaho.
Some of the group took an extended trip to Figi.

Heading out west, with a Courier along, were the Allmans — Marla, Carlus, Dylan and Draya — along with Nathan Menuis. After visiting the Rocky Mountains, they went to Las Vegas, Nev., and then on to Venice Beach, Calif.

Taylor Smith and Despina Morgan took along an Ottumwa Courier to the Meredith family reunion at Glacier Lodge in Estes Park, Colo., in August There were 56 family members present including Rod Bible, Heather Hendrickson, Kamryn, Ron and Marcia Reynolds, Barbara Shewry, Leslie Morgan, Autumn, Sean Six, Tabatha and Jesse Meredith, Mackenzie, Rick and Deb Kleinman, Tim, Ricci, Felisha and Katlin Dolan.
Family members attended from California, Colorado, Missouri, Arizona, Iowa and Illinois.
