VBS in Eddyville July 8-12

EDDYVILLE — The Eddyville United Methodist Church, 1001 Main St., will be hosting Vacation Bible School from 6-8 p.m. July 8-12 in the basement of the church (one block east of Casey’s).

Children ages 4 years old through fifth grade (grade just completed) are invited to attend.

Ice cream social June 29

OTTUMWA — The Zion Church of God, 15720 Copperhead Road, will host an ice cream social from 4:30-6 p.m. June 29.

Everyone is welcome to attend.

Faith’s Journey at Bible Baptist Church

OTTUMWA — One of America’s premier new Southern Gospel trios, Faith’s Journey, will be in concert at 6 p.m. Sunday at Bible Baptist Church, 944 W. Williams St.

Expect to hear strongly anointed singing with God’s message clearly presented to encourage listeners. The faces may look familiar as the members have served for many years in different groups and in different capacities but are now excited about this new chapter.

Farewell meal for Ellingsons

LIBERTYVILLE — There will be a farewell co-op meal for Pastors Peg and Arley Ellingson at 5:30 p.m. Sunday at the Libertyville Faith Methodist Church.

Please bring a dish to share and your own table service. Beverages will be furnished. Everyone is invited.

The Ellingsons have served the Agency, Batavia, Eldon, Libertyville, Birmingham and Stockport Methodist churches.

Multi-church VBS set for June 24-27

OTTUMWA — Children ages 4 through fifth grade are invited to a multi-church Vacation Bible School to be held from 5:15-7:45 p.m. June 24-27 at Willard Street United Methodist Church, 175 N. Willard St.

Five churches have teamed up to bring the exciting program, “Everywhere Fun Fair!” The cost is $10 per child or $15 per family.

A pre-registration event and ice cream social will be held from 5:30-6:15 p.m. Sunday at Willard Street UMC.
