FAIRFIELD – A police investigator says kids were never in danger after a recent bomb scare. And they are talking to a suspect now.
According to a release from the Fairfield Police Department, the Tuesday bomb threat at Fairfield Middle School “has been investigated and a suspect has been identified. That suspect’s name will not be released at this time due to an active investigation.”
On Tuesday, the school went into emergency lockdown, and officers brought a bomb-sniffing dog through the building.
Information obtained through this investigation shows that students and staff were never in any danger, as there were no explosive devices created.
“The police department would like to thank the Fairfield School District for their cooperation in this investigation. Without the cooperation of the school district, this crime may still be unsolved.”
