Community baccalaureate service Wednesday

Ottumwa Courier

---- — OTTUMWA — Seniors in the Ottumwa High School area will once again be special guests at the community baccalaureate service at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday in the high school auditorium.

This is an annual gathering of students, families, and people of all ages from the Ottumwa area for the purpose of praying a blessing upon all high school students as they graduate. The event is hosted by the Ottumwa Fellowship of Churches and several area pastors.

The special guest speaker will be Rhonda Eakins. She is a professor at Indian Hills Community college. The key Bible verse of the evening will be “A good name is to be chosen rather then great riches, and favor is better than silver or gold.” Proverbs 22:1

Several high school seniors will be speaking, and there will be special music. This event is open to the public and everyone in the community is encouraged to gather for this annual Ottumwa tradition.
