Opera soloists on stage May 3 at BVC with Ottumwa Symphony Orchestra

OTTUMWA — The Ottumwa Symphony will present a springtime evening of opera at 7:30 p.m. May 3 at Bridge View Center in Ottumwa.
“You’ll hear some of the best-loved arias from ‘Carmen,’ ‘La Boheme’ and ‘Marriage of Figaro’ sung by a group of fabulous singers,” said Tony Chang, conductor.
Soloists include: Sopranos, Becky Diebold, Ottumwa, and Rachel Walker Corpus, Albia; bass, Ed Corpus; Ulrike Selleck, Fairfield; and tenor, Ed Griffith.
“Music-lovers will enjoy the wide variety of pieces, including works by Mozart, Verdi, Puccini, Saint-Saens and Tchaikovsky, as well as Bizet, Mascagni, and Donizetti," added Chang. “There’s something for everyone!”
Tickets are available at the door for $12; students attend free.
