Southeast Iowa Symphony Orchestra Garden Party Extraordinaire, 5-8 p.m. today; enjoy beverages (wine or tea) and light hors d’oeuvres. Tickets $15 in advance and $20 at the gate. For directions, call (641) 682-4165. If postponed, will be on June 28.

Christine Lavin free concert to benefit flood victims, 7:30 p.m. Saturday at Bridge View Center; tickets available at BVC box office, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. today; $10 donation is suggested. Join Christine’s knitting circle at 6:30 p.m. in lobby.

A Patriotic Hometown Holiday, Fourth of July at Central Park presented by South Ottumwa Savings Bank and Main Street Ottumwa. Lunch in the Park 11:30-2 p.m., kids’ activities 1:30-4 p.m., patriotic kiddie parade 4 p.m., Live After Five with Bluegrass Addiction band, 5-7:30 p.m.
