Ottumwa Courier 160th Anniversary Events:

Today, 5-8 p.m., Free night for everyone at The Beach Ottumwa, sponsored by the Ottumwa Courier.

Saturday, 9 p.m. to 12 a.m., “The Nadas” concert, in the back courtyard at Bridge View Center (inside if weather is bad). Tickets $10 in advance at Ottumwa Courier, Ottumwa Area Chamber of Commerce, North and South Hy-Vee, Hy-Vee Drugstore, West Music, KOTM, Classic 96, KMGO, BVC box office. Tickets $15 at the door. Doors open 7 p.m. with opening band She Swings She Sways.

Ottumwa Community Children’s Playhouse presents “Pied Piper the Musical,” 7 p.m. tonight and Saturday; 2 p.m. Sunday, Bridge View Center Theatre; tickets at the door $5 children, $8 adults; advance tickets at BVC box office.

Blakesburg Corn Carnival: Today, Kiddie Parade 6:30 p.m.; Cribbage Tournament 6:30 p.m.; Crystal Blue Band 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Methodist Church breakfast 7-10 a.m.; parade 11 a.m.; 3 on 3 basketball tournament 9 a.m.-1 p.m.; Doris Baird Epps book signing, 1 p.m., library; kids games, car and tractor show 1 p.m., firemen’s battle 2 p.m.; kiddie tractor pull 2 p.m.; Sez Who band 7:30-11 p.m.
