OTTUMWA — New York favorite singer, pianist and songwriter Tony DeSare will perform at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 14 at the Bridge View Center theater.

The show is sponsored by Ottumwa Civic Music. Show tickets and season tickets will be available at the door.

DeSare has earned critical acclaim for his recent performances at the legendary jazz club Birdland, the Café Carlyle and Jazz at Lincoln Center in New York City and his new big band show which debuted at the Sands Hotel in Atlantic City, N.J.

“He exhibits the slicked-up charm of an early 1960s pop star with Rat Pack dreams,” writes the New York Times.

He performs with a backing bassist and percussionist, taking on classic standards and sophisticated original compositions. He has earned a reputation as one of New York’s hottest young singer/pianists.

The New York native has performed throughout the country and in Australia, Japan and Hong Kong. His tour this year includes performances in New York, London, Los Angeles, Boston, Washington, D.C., Seattle, St. Louis and Palm Beach.
