‘Road Show’ auditions in Fairfield

Docuseries to premiere in 2013

FAIRFIELD — The Fairfield Arts and Convention Center has announced a major cable network has chosen Fairfield and the Sondheim Center for the Performing Arts to hold open auditions for a talent show, “Road Show” from 4-8 p.m. Oct. 24.

“Road Show” is new docuseries that will present small-town talent shows around the country, offering participants a chance to shine in the national spotlight and win a substantial cash prize.

The open auditions will provide participants the opportunity to perform on the Sondheim Stage with professional lighting and sound equipment, along with the cameras rolling.

Regardless of your profession, background and talents, you are invited to participate. Magicians, jugglers, dancers, singers, comedians, ventriloquists, musicans and more are welcome to bring their talents the Sondheim Stage. A team of Hollywood professionals will be mentoring finalists. Participants must be 18 years and older.

Fairfield was chosen, along with seven other U.S. cities, to host this talent competition that will award winners a substantial cash prize at the finals in December. More details will be announced soon. “Road Show” is scheduled to premiere in the second quarter of 2013.
