FAIRFIELD — Roy Clark has postponed his performance, scheduled for Friday at the Sondheim Center, due to health issues. The concert will be rescheduled for early 2014.
According to Clark's management, he is experiencing chronic back pain and has been advised by his doctor to postpone his concerts for the next 60 days. The performances include the Sondheim Center and several more across the country.
"I am disappointed that I will not be able to perform these upcoming shows," said Clark. "I look forward to rescheduling these dates when the chronic pain subsides. I'm sure the rest and rehabilitation will take care of the problem."
The Fairfield Arts and Convention Center regrets this unforeseen issue, which has caused the concert postponement.
"We were notified on Sept. 17 and are disappointed for our patrons who were excited to see this country icon," said Rustin Lippincott, executive director of the Fairfield Arts and Convention Center. "We have instituted our postpone policy at the ticket office and will notify the public of the rescheduled date as soon as it is confirmed."
Patrons are advised to contact Sasha Luse, Fairfield Arts and Convention Center Ticket Office Manager, at 641-472-2787 for more information.
