Fairfield Arts and Convention Center to honor volunteers Sunday

FAIRFIELD — The Fairfield Arts and Convention Center Board of Directors and staff will recognize its volunteers at a public appreciation event at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Sondheim Center for the Performing Arts.

The appreciation event will include presentation of the Volunteer of the Year, Don Hoelting 2012 Volunteer of Year, Year-in-Review of the Center and the Jazz quintet, To Few Degrees featuring Gerry Runyon, David Johnson, Adam Krieger and Jason Edward and Jim DePriest will provide music.

“The volunteers are vital to the success of the Center,” said Rustin Lippincott, executive director. “This is an opportunity for us to acknowledge the individuals who dedicate their time, talents and energy to make the center such an amazing community asset.”

Light desserts and refreshments will be served in the atrium following the program. Harpist Ella Yates will provide music during the reception.
