New Shanghai Circus ready to amaze at Sondheim Center March 2

FAIRFIELD — Celebrating the exotic wonders of China while showcasing dramatic aerialists interpretation of ancient dances. The New Shanghai Circus combines extraordinary and inventive feats of strength, skill, control and balance and will be on display at 7:30 p.m. March 2 at the Sondheim Center for the Performing Arts.

These acts combine acrobatics with choreography, spectacular costumes and ancient and contemporary theatrical techniques to present a show of skill and beauty. You will be amazed as these remarkable athletes defy gravity and execute breathtaking feats — stretching the limits of human ability. Whether it’s the crowd pleasing Chinese yo-yo, plate spinning or pole climbing, bicycle tricks or chair stacks, you are sure to be awed.
