V.B. County players announce ‘Chicago’ cast

Performances set for early March

KEOSAUQUA — The Van Buren Players have announced the cast of its winter production of “Chicago.”

The leads include Emily Roth as Roxie, Jes Ehrenfelt as Velma, Tom Voorhees as Billy Flynn, Mike Plecker as Amos and Vicki Robertson as Matron Mama Morton.

Supporting roles, chorus and dancers include Jay and Linda Goldstein, Greg Jones, Mike Hurley, John and Sonia Stookesberry, Jay Stookesberry, Barbara Morris, Heather Charbonneau, Stef Wells, Nanette Rambo, Dawn Eid, Dick and Gloria Breckenridge, Pam Svenby, Gary Debner, Melissa Mahon, Larry Shipley, Tom Allen, Gary and Juanita Kingsbury, Twyla Peacock, Kara Lewis, Michele Mitchell, Adam Perkins, Sam Polonsky, Nancy Huff, Carly Smith, Katie Nichols, Jen Snead, Jessica Rodibaugh, Calvin Mertens and Mark Woodruff.

The orchestra takes center stage in this production.  The orchestra will be conducted by Jim Edgeton.  Orchestra members include Gary Roth, Ken Burns, Greg Hanshaw, Arvin Bogaards, Ron Prill, Gerry Runyon, Julie Garrels, Linda Mitcheltree and Barbara Nixon.

Production staff includes: David and Kathleen Paulek, directors; Linda Mitcheltree, music director; Stef Wells, choreographer; Carol Harlan, costumer; and Lynn Manning, properties.

Performance times and dates will be 7:30 p.m. March 1-2, 2013, and 2 p.m. March 3, 2013 at the Roberts Memorial Center in Keosauqua. Tickets will go on sale in February.
