Horticulture Haven: SEISO presents it's 'Garden Party Extraordinaire' Friday

OTTUMWA — A multitude of arbors, gazebos, water fountains and statues interspersed throughout the five-acre garden of Richard and Nancy Klodt will be on display for the 2008 Southeast Iowa Symphony Orchestra Ottumwa Chapter’s Garden Party Extraordinaire from 5-8 p.m. Friday.

The tour will include a beach area by the pond, roman columns and decor, the dwarf’s village, the pool and palm trees, a secret garden, and outdoor living room and 150-foot hidden path through the evergreens, two honeysuckle tunnels as well as other garden pleasures.

Wine and iced tea and light hors d’oeuvres will be served.

Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the gate. The garden is located at 12708 160th Ave., west of Ottumwa

The “pouring down” rain date is Saturday.
