Published July 03, 2009 02:52 pm - Blooming cactus OTTUMWA — A Hedgehog Cactus owned by Nancy McClure had 39 blooms on June 28.
Officially there were 41 blooms, but two were broken. It is the most blooms the cactus has ever produced. The blooms last one full day and won't produce again until next year. Her grandmother gave her the cactus 20 years ago.
