Another repeat? In the late 1940s, Second and Main streets were two-way. About 1950, we got to the big time and made one-way streets. Remember this adage: A small town is one that congests its own traffic and then brags of the problem.

Envision this: Two-way streets with parking on both sides; beer and delivery trucks double parked, emergency vehicles trying to get through. Dilly throws open the car door, Tilly is talking on the cell phone, Willy has the stereo so loud World War II would be blotted out, granny gets excited with all the noise and turns left when right was best. Now add heavy snow, ice, sleet, ruts and speeders. Happy motoring. And you thought bumper cars were fun.

We only advance to a certain point then we repeat the same processes. It’s easy to locate persons that have reached their level of competence. They will continue to bring forth the only thing they understand. The same old bucket of bolts, using a different bucket.

I am a Democrat or Republican, therefore my party can do no wrong. If the other side steals, lies, cheats, they should be impeached and hung. If my party does it, it’s just politics. Remember this, [it’s] all out of the same sack, bought by the same money. Nothing in politics just happens, it’s planned.
