I would like to thank the publisher of the Ottumwa Courier (Tom Hawley). I sent him an e-mail request for some recent copies of your newspaper to send to my son-in-law, Joseph Hamski.

Joseph is serving with the Air Force in Afghanistan, and I know he would love to see news from home. I offered to pay for the papers and shipping.

He immediately sent me the newspapers (urgent shipping) and mentioned nothing about paying for the newspapers and shipping.

Thank you, Tom, for taking time out from your busy day to make one of Ottumwa’s brave soldiers tour in Afghanistan a little more bearable.
