When all else fails, read the directions

OTTUMWA — Guns are not the problem with the school shootings. As it is not the answer. Armed guards and armed teachers. When that fails. Tanks! Before any problem can be solved we must know what that problem is. We see what caused the deaths, but what was the motivation. We have lost control. Example. A child will lie and steal before he can walk and talk. Put two children in a playpen with toys. Soon one will have all the toys. Asked, did you take them all, the head will nod no. From the time these kids learn to turn the knob on the television they are subjected to killings, violence, sex and language that would make a U.S. Marine blush. We cannot by law correct them (fear of arrest). The teachers cannot correct them. Their dress is deplorable. Many persons expect the government to pay for them and the schools to raise them. The first book is a book of control. The Bible. We must have rules. The teachers are cursed. And cannot fail or hold back one who needs extra help. We can pass more laws against guns it will not stop someone who has decided to kill. Television is filled with how to books. From explosives to zip guns. I have but one recollection of a school shooting during the 1950s, 60s or 70s. We began this decline when the federal government reared its ignorant head by telling states how to handle the schools. All the problems of this nation is the fault of its government. It cannot be anything else. They make the taxes, they spend those taxes, they make the laws, they declare the wars. Any problem were created by those holding the offices. We the people do not have that power to change anything. Except to vote. If you choose to believe that ruse. Locally, our council will fight and argue over issues that have the value of a confederate dollar. Another power struggle. When all else fails, read the directions.
