Vote for Loebsack, Judge and Tripp

submitted

CENTERVILLE — Please vote for Dave Loebsack to represent us in Congress. He is committed to working with members of both parties to get results for Iowa families.

For example, Appanoose County Railroad, which carries products from our factories to meet major lines in Moravia and in Albia, was in trouble. The bridges were in such bad shape that regulations made the train go very slow to meet up with the major lines. The tracks were a mess! Dave Loebsack worked with Sens. Grassley and Harkin to secure a federal grant of $800,000 which needed a $200,000 match. These actions, along with other efforts, saved approximately 400 jobs in this area.

Another example of Dave’s effectiveness was when he worked in joint effort with Iowa senators and representatives to secure water structures on Soap Creek, which resulted in slowing the water flow in the creek so as to prevent flooding of farmland.

Meanwhile, Joe Judge wants to be our next state representative.

Joe believes our families deserve good jobs and our children deserve effective education. Joe is a high school government and history teacher. He is well versed in the mechanics of government.

Joe was born and raised in Albia. He came back to our area because he wanted to ensure quality education to all Iowans, especially in rural areas. He wants to make sure we are not forgotten in southern Iowa by working to provide a quality environment in which to live, work and raise families.

Finally, I’m asking you to vote for Tim Tripp for the Iowa Senate. Tim is a newcomer in Iowa politics, but he sure isn’t a newcomer in involvement in his Pella community and the state of Iowa.

He is a small business owner in Pella. He is active in his school district (a past board member). He believes in much involvement in his church (elder at his church). He is active in his community, serving as past president of the Pella Library Board. He is a member of the Iowa Legal Aid Board and the Legal Foundation of Iowa. He believes in looking out for the needy as shown by the Award for Pro Bono Service by the Iowa Supreme Court.

Now, he wishes to serve you in the Iowa Legislature as a state senator. Please vote for him.
