Hoping for purse's return

Ottumwa Courier

---- — On July 31, a friend and I did some shopping at Walgreens. We checked out at 1:31 p.m. While returning the cart to the store, I accidentally left my purse in the seat of the cart. I caught my mistake 45 minutes later, which was too late.

I called the store to ask if it had been turned in. It hadn't, but the woman who took it was caught on the video camera taking my little orange purse.

It's a very bad feeling when your property has been invaded. My life was in that purse: $300 cash that I saved for a pair of diabetic shoes for my poor old diabetic feet, Medicare cards, recent eye implant cards (never can be replaced), credit cards, new blood sugar monitor and, most of all, my whole health history. Things my family doesn't know, but you know everything about me, all from my orange purse.

I only pray you will spend the money on your grandchildren's school supplies and clothes. This is my positive thinking on why someone would do this. I'm a giving person, and it's hard for me to understand why anyone would do this to someone.

Please return all my cards, etc. Keep the cash.

I pray for you.
