Thanks for helping Kiwanis fundraiser

Ottumwa Courier

---- — On Aug. 2, Ottumwa Savings Bank helped sponsor the Live after Five BBQ with the Ottumwa Kiwanis Clubs for the Ottumwa Library. Over the last 10 years, the Kiwanis Clubs of Ottumwa have given over $35,000 to the children’s department of the Ottumwa LIbrary. This helps provide for new children’s books, shelving, computers and even the Dial-a-Story (683-4031). The motto of Kiwanis is “Serving the Children of the World,” and we feel by helping the library, we are contributing to that.

This year’s BBQ was a success, and we’d like to thank those that help make it happen: Cargill Meat Solutions, Dr Pepper Snapple Group, Hotel Ottumwa, Messerschmitt Ice, City Breeze and Brett Patton.

We at Kiwanis Club would also like to thank the community of Ottumwa for supporting our library and the Kiwanis Clubs.
