Collect lids and fight breast cancer

Ottumwa Courier

---- — The Southeast Iowa Affiliate of Susan G. Komen represents a 10-county area in its fight to end breast cancer. Your local affiliate is fighting for the screening and treatment programs that save lives and the research that brings us closer to a cure.

Volunteers are important to make our Race for the Cure a success. Thank you to all that help. Thank you to those who participate. Thank you for being involved.

Another way to help your 10-county area is to save pink Yoplait lids or General Mills products. Yoplait and General Mills will donate 10 cents per lid for each lid collected through your Southeast Iowa Affiliate. You will start to notice pink deposit boxes around in area businesses in our 10 county communities. Please keep your pink Yoplait and General Mills lids and deposit them in the boxes. Every lid can make a difference in someone's life.

It's never too late to start preparing for the Race for the Cure on May 10 in Ottumwa. You can help in many ways. You do make a difference. What can you do to help?
