‘Action’ will be at top of BV sign

— OTTUMWA — The action is working its way to the top at Bridge View Center.
The “action” is the full-color video portion of the Bridge View Center’s marquee.
After Friday’s article about the sign, City Administrator Joe Helfenberger updated the Courier on how the sign will appear.
“We’re looking at putting [the message center] at the top of the sign and it’ll be four feet higher on the sign,” Helfenberger said.
Helfenberger and Jon Elbaum, Bridge View’s general manager, are working on the new specifications which also include better and stronger materials for the post. For artistic reasons, a single column will support the sign.
