Two charged in Mahaska Co. thefts

OSKALOOSA — Two Mahaska County women face up to 20 years in prison after being accused of theft and joint criminal conduct.

The Mahaska County Sheriff’s Office filed the charges against Connie Sanders, 47, Beacon, and Nicole Anderson, 23, Oskaloosa after an investigation found misappropriation of more than $40,000 from a Mahaska County business. Investigators say the total includes money and physical items taken between December 2006 and February 2009.

Both charges are Class C felonies. Each carries a maximum prison sentence of 10 years in prison and fines of up to $10,000.
