Building Safety Week declared

BY CINDY TOOPES COURIER STAFF WRITER

“And please don’t put the cooked meat on the same platter as the raw meat without washing the platter in between,” she said.

First observed in 1980, Building Safety Week, is sponsored by the International Code Council Foundation, an organization dedicated to changing the devastating effects of natural disasters and other building tragedies.

If Ottumwa residents have questions, Maize hopes they will call the building inspectors at 683-0650.

Cindy Toopes can be reached at (641) 683-5376 or via e-mail at cindy@ottumwacourier.com
