Davis Co. police seek two men in drug case
By MATT MILNER Courier staff writer
BLOOMFIELD — Davis County authorities are still looking for two men who face drug charges, and they hope the public can help.
Buddy Harsch of the Bloomfield Police Department said authorities are still looking for George Jordan of Ottumwa and Jeremy Davis of Moravia. They thought they had a location for Davis pinned down on Tuesday evening, but he was still at large Wednesday.
Jordan faces charges of possession of less than 5 grams of methamphetamine with intent to deliver, driving while barred, driving while suspended and failure to file SR-22 insurance.
Davis faces a charge of 2nd degree theft.
More details emerged Wednesday about the charges against five people already in custody in connection with drug raids in Bloomfield. Harsch said the arrests were made as several investigations came together at about the same time.
“None of [the defendants] are related. They weren’t working together,” with the exception of Marcus and Candace Miller, he said.
The arrests, made over several days early this week, focus primarily on methamphetamine and marijuana sales. Those arrested and their charges are:
• Martin Rockwood, 34, Moulton; three counts possession of less than 5 grams of methamphetamine with intent to deliver.
• Marcus Miller, 41, Bloomfield; three counts possession of less than 50 kilograms of marijuana with intent to deliver; four counts of possession of marijuana plants without a drug tax stamp; manufacturing marijuana; three counts of conspiracy to deliver less than 50 kilograms of marijuana.
• Candace Miller, 35, Bloomfield; four counts of conspiracy to deliver less than 50 kilograms of marijuana; possession of marijuana plants without a drug tax stamp; manufacturing marijuana.
• William Brown, age unknown, Ottumwa; two counts of possession of less than 5 grams of methamphetamine with intent to deliver.
• Jean Davis, age unknown, Bloomfield; 19 counts of selling prescription drugs.
Authorities are also actively seeking information on the locations of Davis and Jordan. Anyone with information about either man is asked to contact Harsch at (641) 664-2385.
