OTTUMWA — At its meeting Monday, the Ottumwa school board will consider sharing a little space with another local educational organization.
A proposal calls for a vote on whether to allow Wapello County Head Start to rent one classroom at the McCarroll building. If it is approved, the rental rate would be $600 per month. Locally, Head Start is a pre-school program overseen by SIEDA — the Southern Iowa Economic Development Association.
On the agenda is approval of a contract with Southern Iowa Mental Health to provide services to students. The fee is listed as $50 per hour, with about 1,000 hours needed.
Finally, members will decide what their legislative action priorities will be for 2009.
The meeting begins at 6 p.m. Monday at the board offices at 422 McCarroll Drive. The meeting is open to the public.
