Breaking News: Flood debris sites announced

OTTUMWA — County supervisors have released the six locations that will contain dumpsters for flood debris pickup, one day after approving a contract for the dumpsters' placement and removal.

The locations are open for flood debris only. Supervisor Jerry Parker said the dumpsters are being placed today.

Locations are:

• Rock Bluff Road at the entrance to Schlunz Landing

• 155th Street off of Rock Bluff Road

• The end of Walnut Street, also called 120th Street

• Rabbit Run and Highway 63

• Cliffland Road at the Cliffland boat launch

• River Road and 20th Street (accessible only from Eldon)

There is no firm closing date for the dumpster sites. Supervisors have said they want to keep them open as long as they are needed.
