Polling locations for 90th District special election announced
Voters in Van Buren County as well as portions of Jefferson and Wapello counties will go to the polls Sept. 1 in a special election to elect a new state representative in House District 90.
Registered voters in the distict can now vote absentee and may do so at their respective county courthouse. Absentee ballots may also be mailed to the voter’s residence if a request is received by 5 p.m. Aug. 28. Absentee ballots mailed must be postmarked by midnight Aug. 31 or hand delivered before the polls close on Election Day.
Those not already registered to vote have until 5 p.m. Friday to do so at their respective county auditor’s office.
Meanwhile, polling locations for the special election on Sept. 1 have been announced.
