OTTUMWA — Most government offices and services will close Thursday for the Thanksgiving holiday.

Wapello County offices will be closed Thursday and Friday as will city departments and offices at City Hall.

The Ottumwa, Calvary and Jewish Cemetery office, 1302 N. Court St., will be closed Thursday and Friday, as will Ottumwa Public Library. In addition, there will be no pre-school story time on Friday but the library will be open regular hours on Saturday.

Ottumwa Transit Authority buses won’t operate Thursday but will resume regular routes and schedules Friday.

Ottumwa Water and Hydro Offices will be closed Thursday and Friday.

The Ottumwa/Wapello Landfill and Recycling Center will be closed Thursday. But the Landfill and Recycling Center will be open regular hours Friday (7 a.m.-4 p.m.) and Saturday (7 a.m.-noon).

Whaley Waste’s city and county residential trash and recycling collection schedules aren’t changed by the Thanksgiving holiday.
