OTTUMWA — Several law enforcement items will be on the Wapello County Board of Supervisors’ next agenda for approval.
The county board will meet at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday in the board’s meeting room located on the third floor of the Wapello County Courthouse.
Sheriff Mark Miller will ask supervisors to consider hiring a new part-time on-call jailer in addition to hiring a new correctional officer.
Miller will also ask the board to approve the Wapello County/City of Ottumwa Law Enforcement Center’s maintenance budget as well as have supervisors endorse a request to the Legacy Foundation for patrol car computer funding.
Other items on the board’s agenda include:
• Reviewing quotes and possible purchase of a new mower tractor for the Secondary Roads Department.
• Acknowledging the hiring of a new on-call Home Care Aide for Wapello County Public Health.
• Approving the South Central Behavioral Health Regional 28E Agreement with amendments.
