OTTUMWA — Twenty-two longtime Wapello County employees will be honored by the county board during its first meeting of 2014.
The meeting will be conducted at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday in the boardroom on the third floor of Wapello County Courthouse.
Those honored will have reached five, 10, 15 and 20 years of employment. Two individuals from the sheriff's office, Mark Miller and Jeff Layton, will be honored for 25 years of service.
Among the other items to be discussed by supervisors include appointing a chair and vice chair for 2014 as well as reappointing department heads. Additionally, the board plans to reappoint members of the county's Compensation Commission for the coming year.
