---- — ELDON — An investigation carried out by the Wapello County Sheriff’s Department led to an arrest on New Year’s Day of an Eldon man who is suspected to have stolen items from a vehicle.
At approximately 12:02 p.m. on Dec. 26, 2013, Wapello County Sheriff’s officers received a report of a vehicle burglary in the 100 block of Cornell Street in Eldon.
The report yielded an investigation by sheriff’s deputies shortly after, and on Dec. 31, a search warrant was executed at a home located at 201 KD Ave. in Eldon. After the search of the home, the investigation warranted enough to charge Mac Alden Mills, 33, of Eldon, in the case.
Mills was charged with third-degree burglary, which is an aggravated misdemeanor. He was arrested on Jan. 1 by Wapello County Sheriff’s deputies and taken to the Wapello County Jail, where he was later released on bond.
