Indian Hills board to meet

Courier staff writer

---- — OTTUMWA — The Indian Hills board of trustees will have the opportunity to decide on the sale of school land.

Their board meeting will be 4 p.m. Monday in the conference room at Indian Hills Community College, on the main Ottumwa campus.

Up for discussion will be the sale of some land, which is located at their airport subdivision. Some of the open lots in that area belong to the school, which has sold several in order to facilitate economic growth in the region, officials said. In fact, the Job Corps Ottumwa Center is built on land donated by the college to the U.S. Department of Labor.

In order to make a final decision on any parcel, however, the board will hold a public hearing.

The public will get a chance to provide input Monday regarding the upcoming college budget. That fiscal year 2015 estimate will be shared.

Other business includes approval of the 2018-19 school calendar, a strategic plan update and state accreditation.

Shane Molyneux, school chief information officer, will give a presentation on IT efforts past and present.
