Indian Hills Community College board to plan retreat

OTTUMWA — Monthly board meetings are fine for keeping on top of everyday business, but college trustees get a far more in-depth experiences at their annual board “retreat.”

That’s one of the things they’ll be planning Monday during a regular meeting at Indian Hills Community College.

They’ll also get an update about IHCC’s online learning programs, as well as a look at web-based marketing.

That may lead right into the retreat, since the subjects under scrutiny include a review of trends, program viability and goals of the institution.

The retreat is scheduled for Nov. 16 at Honey Creek State Resort, which was one of the projects that IHCC administrators and trustees supported.

The Indian Hills board meeting will be 4 p.m. Monday at the boardroom on the main Ottumwa campus.
