Ottumwa police have arrested two men in connection with burglaries in the Ottumwa area.
Daniel Vandello, 30, 426 N. Iowa Ave., was arrested as officers executed a search warrant at his address on Tuesday. It was the third search of his residence since late December. The searches, the first of which were on Dec. 30 and 31, 2013, resulted in the recovery of jewelry, tools, construction equipment, clothing and other items which had been reported stolen.
Vandello is charged with four counts of burglary in the third degree, a Class D felony, and is being held at the Wapello County Jail on $20,000 cash only bond.
James Edward Deevers, 29, 303 N. Marion St., also faces charges in the case. Deevers faces one count of burglary in the third degree and two counts of aiding and abetting burglary in the third degree.
