Agency man arrested on federal child porn charges

AGENCY — An Agency man has been arrested on federal child pornography charges.

At approximately 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, the Wapello County Sheriff’s Office and Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation arrested Kenneth Leandrew Williams, 45, of Agency, on federal child pornography charges.

The ongoing investigation began in November 2011 with search warrants executed at Williams’ residence by sheriff deputies and DCI agents assigned to the Internet Crimes against Children Task Force.

Williams was taken into custody and transported to Des Moines for arraignment in federal court. He also has outstanding local charges against him for probation violation related to drug charges.

Williams has previously been charged with fugitive from justice in 2009, assault in 2006 and other alcohol-related charges.
